The LIFE-CIRTECHTEX project consortium recently held a follow-up meeting to review the progress achieved and plan the next steps of the project.
During the meeting, the partners —Marina Textil, Blaufabric, Fontfilva, Grau S.A., Fil Man Made, Tranemo, together with the technology centres LEITAT and AEI Textiles— shared the results obtained from the first fabric productions using recycled materials from textile waste.
Participants highlighted the positive progress of the technical and environmental trials, demonstrating the feasibility of reintegrating waste into the production cycle while maintaining the quality standards required for personal protective equipment.
The meeting helped strengthen coordination among partners and reaffirm the shared commitment to the project’s objectives: reducing the environmental impact of the textile sector and moving towards a truly sustainable circular economy model.
