Recognition of our business initiative
On 4 June 2026, FONTFILVA had the honour of receiving the 2025 Best Business Initiative Award at the 20th edition of the Garrotxí de l’Any Awards.
The awards ceremony took place at La Deu restaurant in Olot and was organised by the Centre d’Iniciatives Turístiques d’Olot (CIT), with the support of the Girona Provincial Council. Over twenty editions, these awards have recognised people, companies, organisations and associations from La Garrotxa for their contribution and achievements throughout the year.
This year, the Best Business Initiative Award was presented to FONTFILVA in recognition of the work carried out during 2025. For us, receiving this award is a source of great satisfaction and represents recognition of the commitment and dedication of everyone who forms part of our company.
From Sant Jaume de Llierca, we continue to work in the yarn-spinning sector, specialising in the manufacture of cotton yarns with different fibre blends and in open-end spinning. Over the years, we have continued to evolve in response to the needs of the textile sector and our customers, developing new fibre combinations and options within our range of yarns.
The Garrotxí de l’Any ceremony also recognised other outstanding initiatives and achievements from across the region. The main award, Garrotxí de l’Any 2025, was presented to musical theatre actress and singer Anna Lagares. Other awards recognised personal achievement, social and cultural initiatives, promotional initiatives and emerging talent.
For the entire FONTFILVA team, this award is an encouragement to continue moving forward with the same commitment and dedication. We would like to thank the Centre d’Iniciatives Turístiques d’Olot for this recognition and share it with everyone who contributes to the FONTFILVA project every day.
