First productions of the LIFE-CIRTECHTEX project successfully completed

After the first trials carried out within the LIFE-CIRTECHTEX project, the first fabrics incorporating recycled materials from waste generated during the production of personal protective equipment have been successfully manufactured. This step represents significant progress in validating the circular economy processes proposed by the consortium.

The initial results obtained have shown that it is possible to reincorporate textile waste into the production cycle without compromising the quality required for the manufacture of this type of product. The produced samples have already undergone a first stage of technical and environmental evaluation, which will help determine their industrial feasibility.

The project, led by Marina Textil and involving various European companies and technology centers, continues to move forward towards its goal of reducing the environmental impact in the textile sector and promoting a more sustainable production model.

We have obtained promising results, pending approval from Marina Textil and Leitat, which will be key to officially validating this milestone and moving forward with the next steps of the project.
