Esteve Valeri Homs started the activities of the spinning mil in 1959 by the production of reprocessed cotton yarn in heavy numbers.

In 1972, the firm Fontfilva, S.A. was founded to meet the needs of thinner yarn when the sector prospects were very good.

In 1981, Esteve Valeri Homs' name, location and techonlogy changed. The new name was Esteve Valeri S.A.
